VinVillage...where wine lovers connect!
is chosen as a premier media partner for the
KRCB Annual “Wine & Epicurean Auction”

Santa Rosa, Calif. – KRCB-TV, Channel 22 presents its annual televised Wine & Epicurean Auction for two full weekends this fall: October 10–12 and again on October 17–19 from 6:30pm–11pm. Viewers may preview items and pre-bid at www.krcb.org beginning October 3.

Bidding on KRCB’s Wine & Epicurean Auction not only puts viewers in the running for some fabulous lots, but also helps provide quality, non-commercial, locally owned, public television in Sonoma, Napa, Marin and San Francisco Counties as well as parts of Alameda, Contra Costa, Mendocino and Solano Counties.

Whether you are a long-time wine collector or just starting your cellar, you’ll find wines for every budget and level of appreciation. Wines from boutique, “cult” and internationally acclaimed wineries will be up for bid as well as gift certificates for fine dining at Bay Area restaurants. Highlighting the six nights of the event are cases, magnums to 9 liter bottles, library wines, limited production wines, wine country getaways, gourmet foods and private tasting & tours.

Heading the prestigious Platinum board is Franciscan Winery of St. Helena with an overnight stay in their guest house, dinner and private tasting for four. Pinotfestival.com offers two full access passes to the Pinot Festival in the Russian River Valley at the end of October and five pairs of tickets to the Grand Tasting. The Hilton Sonoma Wine Country in Santa Rosa has provided a five-course Winemaker Dinner for six with their General Manager and a winemaker from Rodney Strong Winery. Included are deluxe overnight accommodations.

Gold board participants include: Kosta-Browne Winery of Sebastopol with three signed magnums of 2005 Keefer Ranch, Sonoma Coast and Russian River Pinot Noir. In addition, the winner of this priceless lot will receive two mailing list spots on their active members list (bypassing the current wait list) and a private tour and tasting for six at the winery, which is not open to the public. The magnums are not available to the general public and are exclusively for non-profit events.

Also, participating at the Gold board level are: Spring Mountain Vineyard of St. Helena, Owl Ridge of Sebastopol, Scott Harvey Wines of St. Helena and Gaige House of Glen Ellen. Through VinVillage.com, an auction board underwriter and media partner, a lucky high bidder will have the opportunity for a twelve minute segment interview with renowned radio host Lynn Krielow Chamberlain of “Wine & Dine on VinVillageRadio” to discuss a wine or food related topic. B.R. Cohn Winery of Glen Ellen has provided a six liter 2002 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, signed by Bruce Cohn.

KRCB-TV and FM 91 (www.krcb.org) is the PBS and NPR station serving the North and East Bay areas of the San Francisco Bay region. It provides educational, informational and cultural telecommunication services in partnership with the community by broadcasting the best of noncommercial programming available from national and international sources as well as its own productions. Working with non-profit and government organizations, the station expands the impact of programming by initiating community dialog on important issues, thus encouraging the civic engagement of all citizens. KRCB-TV has earned three Northern California Emmy Awards for the "Natural Heroes" series (on people working to preserve their local environment).
