| The Boys and Girls Club of North San Luis Obispo will hold their 8th Annual Winemaker “Dinner for Dreams” on Saturday, September 13, 2008. The “Dinner for Dreams” is the largest fundraising effort presented by the club, and serves as a foundation for the Club’s operating budget. The Club is a key contributor to the Community, providing a safe and productive environment for nearly 100 kids, many of whom would be alone during the after-school hours.
The five-course dinner, led by renowned chef, Ian Mc Phee, will be accompanied by select local wines. Each course will be prepared by a different chef, featuring many of the area’s finest chef’s from Artisan, Buona Tavola, Good Time Catering, Bellasera, Cass Winery, and Villa Creek. Appetizers will be served at 5:30 p.m., dinner will follow at 6:30 p.m., and the evening will conclude with both live and silent auctions. The event will be held at the Park Street Ballroom, located at 1232 Park St. Suite 200, Paso Robles, California. Tickets are $150 each or $1,000 for a table of eight. The “Dinner for Dreams” event sells out quickly. The Club is also seeking sponsors for certain event expenses, as well as donations for the live and silent auctions.
“As our primary fundraiser, this year’s ‘Dinner for Dreams’ is more important to the Club than ever. We are in the second year of a major re-building of the Club and need support from our community to further the strong progress we have made this year,” said Signe Zoller, Boys and Girls Club of North San Luis Obispo Board President.
