The holidays are not far off and dinner parties are made special with these specialties of France’s Champagne region. Blanc de Blancs are superb Champagnes made from superior Chardonnay grapes grown in limestone soils, and rosés have a high percentage of Pinot, making them fuller-bodied and more prized than their straw colored counterparts. Rosé champagnes are perfect accompaniments with salmon appetizers, and many connoisseurs prefer to carry these wonderful wines over to the main course. Tonight Samantha Dugan presents our top Blanc de Blanc Champagnes and our top Champagne Rosés in an effervescent evening of pure joy and discovery. A thrilling evening of contrasts: statuesque bubblies from white grapes, and rich dry rosé Champagnes made with Pinot from the most exciting producers we have discovered this year.
