France may boast the most elegant wines of Europe, but the wines of Italy have a charm and style so uniquely Italian, they are impossible not to love. From Piedmont and the Veneto in the north, to the southern island of Sicily, and everything in between, winemaking in Italy goes back for centuries, with little having changed in all that time.
